The Last Shop
A downloadable game for Windows
You were on your way to do the weekly shopping as always. Walking down the highstreet, looking in all you favourite shops, when you spot a new shop. This would have been exciting, however it struck you more as odd, becuase it had appeared between two shops you could have sworn were directly next to each other. Despite this, you hesitantly decide to go in and see what's for sale
As soon as you stepped in, you got a horrible feeling about this place that you couldn't work out until you realised. There was no one in here. Or outside for that matter either. The doors weren't working either, jammed shut or something. You were about to go find a fire exit or some other way out, but your hand brushed a small paper note in your pocket. A shopping list, and one you certainly didn't write. Maybe this could help?
The Last Shop is a game about exploring a non-euclidean shop, with rooms warping, paths being blocked off, and everything just feeling... off. In the final version, these rooms would have been heavily designed around weirdcore and dreamcore, however there is a lot of these aesthetics already included in this version. Collect everything on your list in this confused space, and maybe it will let you leave
This was a project for university focused on level design and scripting; while it doesn't use grey textures, the focus was not on visual design, unless when it coincided with level design
